Registered Psychologist
As a HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist, I have been dedicated to the wellbeing and experience of individuals and those most important to them in both the health and criminal justice sector since 2007. Throughout my practice, I have made it my priority to ensure that each person feels genuinely heard and supported. When working with individuals and their families, I aim to create an environment where their needs are at the forefront of every assessment. This has been especially important in my work with Autism and Learning Disability assessments, as I have experienced the impact of family members feeling overlooked and unheard.
As a Psychologist, I recognise the impact a diagnosis may have on an individual and their family. It is extremely important to me to ensure a diagnosis does not become another label for an individual, but it provides a key to help them unlock the answer to any challenges they may have been facing. I firmly believe that an assessment isn't an activity to be completed, but an opportunity to understand an individual and to help them understand themselves. It should also support family members, or those working with the individual, to enable them to reach their full potential. My focus on individual-centred care ensures that each person feels prioritised and valued in their journey towards knowing themselves better.
